VISITING TEAM INFORMATION
The University of New Hampshire Athletic Training staff would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the campus of University of New Hampshire. Our hope is that this page will make your trip easier, and answer any questions you may have before your arrival. University of New Hampshire’s athletic trainers will be available to assist you during your visit. Teams traveling with an athletic trainer are welcome to use our facilities. If your team is traveling without an athletic trainer, please notify us in advance. We will be happy to accommodate your needs if prior arrangements have been made. (Please note: coaches may not authorize treatment for any athlete. A note from the prescribing physician or athletic trainer must accompany any athlete requiring treatment). FACILITIES The Field House The athletic training room is located on the ground floor of the Field House. Ice, whirlpools, Hydrocollators, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation are available for your use. The Athletic Training Room will be open two (2) hours prior to competition and approximately one hour after competition. Whittemore Center/ Towse Rink (Hockey) The athletic training room is located on the ground floor of the Whittemore Center. Ice, whirlpools, Hydrocollators, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation are available for your use. COVERAGE The University of New Hampshire team physicians will be in attendance at all football and men’s & women’s hockey events and on call for all other contests. A Certified Athletic Trainer will be available for assistance at all contests. SUPPLIES For your convenience you will be provided with the following supplies: 1. Injury Ice 2. Water 3. Cups 4. Biohazard materials Emergency equipment (crutches, splints) will be stationed on the UNH bench. Enter the Portsmouth Traffic Circle, travel half-way around the circle and follow signs for Route 1 By-pass South. Take a right (2nd stop light) onto Borthwick Avenue. Turn Right onto Central Avenue. Follow blueHospital signs. Alternate Route: Take Rt. 108 through Durham to Dover. Follow blue Hospital signs.
