Amber Lilyestrom is the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Strategic Initiatives at the University of New Hampshire. Lilyestrom is directly responsible for marketing, promotions, management of the group sales department and corporate sponsorship fulfillment for all of UNH’s ticketed sports (men's and women's hockey, football, men's and women's basketball, and women's gymnastics). Additional duties include special event logistics and game day presentation management. She also works in a public relations capacity, managing special projects, University communications and community outreach initiatives.
Lilyestrom began as the athletics
marketing coordinator in 2004 and has held multiple roles in the
department, which have ranged from the director of marketing to the
interim director of the Wildcat Corporate Partners program. In
addition, the National Association of Collegiate Marketing
Administrators (NACMA) awarded UNH the 2006 gold medal for a season
ticket sales campaign for both men’s and women’s
basketball, an effort in which Lilyestrom played a vital role.
Lilyestrom was selected as a member of the NACMA Board of
Directors in 2011 for her work in collegiate athletics marketing.
She is the co-chair of the new NACMA Young Professionals committee
and has played a pivitol role in providing the membership with
increased content and interactive monthly live chat events.
Lilyestrom teaches a sports marketing course at UNH in the fall
semester as well. She has also played an integral role in the
management of several NCAA Championships, including the 2005
Women’s Frozen Four, 2005 NCAA Northeast Gymnastic Regional,
and the 2007, 2009 and 2011 NCAA Northeast Men’s Hockey
Regionals, in addition to several conference championships.
Lilyestrom graduated from UNH in
2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English (concentration and
minors in journalism/sport studies/psychology) and a Master's of
Science in Kinesiology/Sport Studies in 2010 (concentration in
business/marketing). She was also a member of the women's soccer
team, and served as the captain during her senior season. She was
the president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) in her
senior year and served on the council throughout her time as an
undergraduate student. Lilyestrom was also a Presidential Scholar
and a four-time America East and UNH Scholar-Athlete. She and her
husband, Ben, live in Dover, NH.
