Dan Sedory serves as the athletic trainer for the UNH women’s gymnastics team. He began working with the gymnastics squad in 1988 and is an integral member of the coaching staff. Sedory, a Pittsburgh native, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Physical Education (1982) and received his Master’s in Athletic Training from the University of Arizona (1984).

Sedory is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Athletic Training in the Department of Kinesiology at UNH. Since 1988, he has also served as the Director of the CAATE Accredited Athletic Training Education Program. He continues to give back to his field, publishing articles in several leading athletic training journals, as well as serving on various National Athletic Trainers’ Association Committees in the past.

In 2006, he was honored for his contributions by receiving the Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award from the NATA, awarded to role models for future leaders in the profession. This award came shortly after Sedory was named New Hampshire’s Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer of the Year for 2006. Also on his list of accolades are the NATA Athletic Trainer Service Award received (2001) and his commendation from N.H. Governor Jeanne Shaheen for service to the State Athletic Trainers’ Governing Board.

Sedory served as an athletic trainer for the United States Olympic Committee Medical Staff at the U.S. Olympic Fesitval in Los Angeles in 1991 and with the Summer World University Games in 1993. He also served as the host athletic trainer for the World Gold Gymnastics tour appearance in Durham in 1996.
