Jared Fieldsend, a native of Somersworth (N.H.) who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management and a Master of Business Administration degree from Thomas College (Waterville, ME) in May 2010, joined the media relations staff in August 2010. Fieldsend is responsible for the production and management of all video content posted to UNHWildcats.com, Facebook, and YouTube.
Fieldsend also oversees UNH Wildcat Productions, the athletic department's video and television entity that produces Inside Wildcat Country, video streaming, video features, video replay and manages relationships with local and national television providers.
Since 2011, Wildcat Productions has teamed with Pack Network, a Boston-based production company, to produce and transmit live games in high-definition over the Internet via IP technology to local and national television providers. Fieldsend oversees these productions that currently air on WBIN-TV and FOX College Sports. During the 2013-14 season, Fieldsend and Wildcat Productions produced nine televised games entirely in-house, a first for the department, including game two of the Hockey East quarterfinal match-up between the Wildcats and Northeastern (Mar. 15, 2014).
Fieldsend originally interned at Thomas in the sport information office during the 2007-08 academic year where his primary duties consisted of writing/producing media guides and press releases, as well as assisting with statistics in numerous sports and maintaining the athletics web site.
