DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's basketball team will travel to take on Penn State University on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center. The game will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network, as well as on the Penn State Sports Network, which is available online at www.GoPSUSports.com. The Wildcats and Nittany Lions meet for just the third time in the history of the two programs, with Penn State leading the all-time series, 2-0. The squads first met Feb. 1, 1981 as PSU defended its home floor with an 85-72 victory. In the most recent meeting, Penn State downed the ‘Cats, 75-51 at the Bryce Jordan Center on Dec. 28, 2005.

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's basketball team will meet Harvard University on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 17p.m. at Lundholm Gymnasium. The Wildcats and the Crimson enter Wednesday’s match-up having met 34 times in their history, with Harvard leading the all-time series 20-14. Harvard carries a three-game winning streak versus UNH into tonight’s game, having not lost to the Wildcats since a 67-60 overtime defeat at Lundholm on Dec. 1, 2004. That marked UNH’s second straight win over the Crimson. In the most recent meeting, Harvard downed the Wildcats, 72-67 at Lavietes Pavilion on Nov. 28, 2007.

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's basketball team will open its season when it plays host to Suffolk University on Sunday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. at Lundholm Gymnasium. The Wildcats and Rams meet for just the third time ever, with UNH leading the all-time series, 2-0. Both wins came in UNH home-openers, first in 2004-05 and again last season. The ‘Cats beat the Rams, 89-55, in their first-ever meeting. In the most recent meeting, junior guard Eric Gilchrese and freshman guard Tyrone Conley combined for 42 points to lead the Wildcats to a 95-46 victory over Suffolk University at Lundholm Gymnasium on Nov. 14, 2007.

DURHAM, N.H. – Sophomore center Dane DiLiegro (Lexington, Mass.), of the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team, was featured in the Sunday edition of the Boston Herald on Nov. 9. DiLiegro was one of 12 players, nationwide, chosen as a member of the United States men’s basketball team that will compete at the 18th Maccabiah Games – also referred to as the Jewish Olympics – in Israel from July 12-23, 2009.

DURHAM, N.H.- The University of New Hampshire men’s and women’s basketball teams celebrated the official start of the 2008-09 seasons with a tip-off event at Lundholm Gymnasium.
After performances by the UNH cheerleaders and the dance team, both the men’s and women’s basketball teams were introduced to an enthusiastic crowd of fans and students. Men’s basketball head coach Bill Herrion then addressed the crowd about the upcoming seasons.

The event is free and open to the public and will begin immediately following the UNH vs. Towson football game at approximately 3:30 p.m.
