Purrier Advances to IAAF World Junior Championship 3,000-Meter Steeplechase Finals
EUGENE, Ore. -- Rising sophomore Elinor Purrier (Montgomery, Vt.) of the University of New Hampshire women’s track & field team set a qualifying and personal-best time of 10 minutes, 8.33 seconds in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the IAAF World Junior Championships, hosted at the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field Thursday afternoon.

Seniors Nico Steriti (Toms River, N.J.) and R.J. Harris (Odenton, Md.) were named to the Preseason All-Conference Team.

Freshmen Eiserman, Foegele Selected in NHL Draft
PHILADELPHIA – Freshmen Warren Foegele (Unionville, Ontario) and Shane Eiserman (Newburyport, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team were selected in the third and fourth round respectively of the 2014 National Hockey League (NHL) Draft on Saturday. Foegele was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes with the 67th pick in the third round while Eiserman was the 100th overall pick in the fourth round by the Ottawa Senators.
