He set that mark of 60.89m on his second of six throws and was tied for second place following the conclusion of the second round. Jake held that spot until the fifth round, when he slipped into a tie for third, which also proved to be his final placement one round later. One week earlier at the New England Championships, Jake took seventh place in the hammer throw with a distance of 57.77m. He began the outdoor track & field championship season with a fourth-place effort at the America East meet with a throw of 54.21m.
Laura Rose Donegan Women's Track & Field Laura Rose, a junior from Melbourne, Australia, ran a personal-best time of 10 minutes, 10.15 seconds to earn fourth place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships that were held May 15-17 at Princeton University. With that time, Laura Rose is the third-fastest steelplechaser in UNH women’s track & field history. She ranks only behind record-holder and current teammate Ellinor Purrier, as well as All-American Cathy Parker ‘08. Saturday’s race consisted of two heats with 11 runners each. Laura Rose ran in the second – which was the faster – heat and was fourth across the finish line, less than two seconds behind the third-place finisher and three seconds ahead of the next two runners.
