TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ALL THE NEW FEATURES UNHWILDCATS.COM HAS TO OFFER
DURHAM, N.H.
– The University of New Hampshire athletics
department would like to highlight a few of its cutting-edge
features to its newly revamped website.
• Live audio streaming,
Podcasts
This feature allows fans to listen to free live play by play action
from men’s ice hockey, football and selected
basketball, women's hockey games streamed live over the internet
using QuickTime player. Users of the live audio streaming will be
able to listen to the UNH coach’s show every Monday night
during both football and hockey season. After the live broadcast
fans can also sync the audio files of games through Podcasts onto
their iPod for free.
• Live video streaming
For the third straight season UNH will offer top of the line live
video streaming via UNHWildcats.tv. Live video streaming gives fans
the opportunity to watch live coverage of football, volleyball,
hockey, basketball and gymnastics. UNH has once again partnered
with Pack Network to provide online video streaming as well as a
behind-the-scenes look at UNH athletics through player and coaches
interviews, highlights and an in-depth archive section of all video
available on UNHwildcats.TV. With such extensive features, UNH fans
are encouraged to buy the “Wildcat All-Access” which is
an annual subscription for $79.95 that provides live coverage of
various UNH home athletic events and premium content. However, fans
can also purchase home events on a per-game basis for $6.95.
• RSS feeds
Another way for fans to get connected to UNH athletics is through
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds, which collect new content
from the web sites you visit most often and distribute it to your
desktop, browser or e-mail account. Every time we publish updates
to our web site, the corresponding information is published
immediately to our RSS feeds, this way fans can stay connected with
their favorite Wildcat teams around the clock.
• E-Scores, Texts Alerts and
E-Newslettter
RSS feeds aside, fans can also keep up with all the Wildcat action
with E-Scores, Text Alerts and the E-Newsletter. With E-Scores and
Text Alerts, fans will have scores for all the latest Wildcat
action sent to their email addresses and cell phones, respectively.
In addition, fans can become part an e-mail list that will enable
game stories to be sent directly to their e-mail addresses. All
completely FREE!!
• Video Player
Another facelift to the athletics website is the video player on
the homepage that provides highlights and a more in depth look into
the world of UNH athletes and coaches. The video player feature
will provide fans with a host of videos to watch at their leisure,
allowing viewers to play, pause and fast-forward and rewind clips
at anytime.
• Online media guides
For the first time ever, UNH will be featuring full-length media
guides for each of its teams on the website. Each media guide
provides readers with a closer look into their favorite teams with
player bios, coaching profiles and a detailed history of every
respective team. Media guides also highlight each team’s
previous season as well as the season to come with an in-depth
outlook.
• Twitter, Facebook and Live
stats
Just as things have changed, many things have stayed the same for
UNH athletics as fans can once again follow UNH on Twitter to keep
up with the latest headlines and scores. Facebook is another option
for fans as it keeps fans up to date with constant releases of the
latest news regarding athletics as well as game stories. Live Stats
also returns once again, keeping fans informed of the scores of
every UNH athletic event as soon they happen.
