Taylor Chace Selected to U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team as Alternate Captain


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Former University of New Hampshire Wildcat Taylor Chace (’11) has been selected to the 17-man roster for the U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team and will serves as an alternate captain. The team features 11 forwards, four defensemen and a pair of goalies.

Chace, who graduated from UNH in 2011 with a degree in sports studies, will make his third appearance with the U.S. Paralympic Team. After being named to the team in 2005, he helped the U.S. win a bronze medal at the 2006 Winter Paralympics in Turin, Italy and gold at the 2010 Paralympics in Vancouver, British Columbia. At the 2010 games, he was named the best defenseman.

Most recently, Chace helped the 2012-13 U.S. National Sled Hockey Team to a silver medal at the 2013 International Paralympic Committee Sled Hockey Championship.

The 2014 Paralympic Games will take place March 7-16 in Sochi, Russia. All games are set to be played at Shayba Arena with a complete schedule to be announced at a later date.
