DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire cross country program has announced the schedule for the upcoming 2013 fall season for both the men’s and women’s teams. The season kicks off with a home meet against Providence College on Aug. 31 (women – 11 a.m., men – 11:45 a.m.). The Wildcats are coming off runner-up finishes at the America East Championships in 2012.
The teams will compete again when they travel to the University of Maine for a dual meet at the Maine Cross Country Course on Sept. 20. The women start the race at 3 p.m. as the men compete at 3:30 a.m. The following week (Sept. 27), both squads travel to the Boston College Invitational, held at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. The times are still to be determined.
On Oct. 5, UNH will make its way to the Paul Short Invitational, hosted at the Lehigh Athletic Facility in Bethlehem, Pa. The following Saturday, Oct. 12, the Wildcats return to Franklin Park for the New England Cross Country Championships. The ‘Cats close out the month at the Central Connecticut State Mini Meet, held at Stanley Park in New Britain, Conn.). The meet kicks off at 3:30 p.m.
November starts of with the America East Championships, hosted at Binghamton University. The meet starts at 10 a.m. on Nov. 2. Following is the NCAA Regional Meet (1 p.m.) at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y. The season will conclude with the NCAA Championships at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center in Terra Haute, Ind.
