    DURHAM, N.H.- Kyle Urso (Lombard, Ill.) recorded four shots on goal for the University of New Hampshire men’s soccer team, but a nine save effort by Albany’s Ceus Steward allowed for a 2-0 Albany win on Saturday evening.
    With the loss, their first at home this season, the Wildcats fall to 6-3-2, 1-2-0 in America East, while the Great Danes improve to 8-3-0, 2-1-0 in conference play.

    DURHAM, N.H.- Chris Banks (Westborough, Mass.) kept an eleven-year unbeaten streak alive, as he tallied the lone goal to lift the Wildcats to a 1-0 America East victory over rival Maine on Wednesday afternoon at Lewis Fields.    
    The win is New Hampshire’s first America East conference win of the season. New Hampshire breaks a two-game losing skid and improves to 6-2-2 and 1-1-0 in conference play.  Maine drops to 3-5-2 overall and 0-2-0 in America East play.

West Hartford, Conn.- Sophomore goalkeeper Colin O’Donnell (Springfield, Mass.) allowed just one goal, but it turned out to be the game-winner for the University of Hartford as the Hawks defeated the No. 10 regionally-ranked University of New Hampshire Wildcats, 1-0, in the America East opener on Saturday evening.
    Seniors Kyle Urso (Lombard, Ill.) and Mike McKee (Newtown, Pa.) tallied three and two shots, respectively, while Scott Rowling (Richboro, Pa.) and Joe Annese (Attleboro) each had one shot in the game for the Wildcats.

CAMBRIDGE, MASS.- A game-tying goal by junior forward Chris Banks (Westborough, Mass.) was not enough as the No. 5 regionally-ranked University of New Hampshire men’s soccer team suffered its first loss of the 2008 season at Harvard, 3-1, on Tuesday afternoon.
    With the loss in the Wildcats fall to 5-1-2, while the Crimson improve to 3-2-0 on the season.   
    Banks connected on a penalty shot at 13:59 to put the Wildcats on the board and even the score, 1-1.

DURHAM, N.H.- Freshman forward Sean Coleman (Stratham, N.H.), who scored the game-winning goal against UMass, was selected as the America East Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference Monday afternoon. Furthermore, with the win over UMass this past weekend, the University of New Hampshire men’s soccer team moved up to No. 5 in the NSCAA/adidas Northeast Regional Poll.
    The unbeaten Wildcats, who were previously ranked seventh, earned their fourth-straight win over the Minutemen, who advanced to the NCAA semifinals last season. Coleman broke the 1-1 tie just over five minutes into the second half to give the Wildcats the 2-1 lead and the win.

Lewisburg, Pa.- Mike McKee (Newtown, Pa.) and Joe Corsello (York, Maine) of the No. 7 regionally-ranked University of New Hampshire men’s soccer team each tallied their first goals of the 2008 season to propel the Wildcats to a 2-1 victory over Cornell on Sunday afternoon at the Bucknell Invitational.

The unbeaten Wildcats improve to 4-0-2, while the Big Red fall to 0-4-0 on the season. The Wildcats and host school Bucknell both finished with a record of 1-0-1 on the weekend, the Bison however earn the tournament title based on the goals against tiebreaker (New Hampshire 3 GAA, Bucknell 2 GAA). Wildcats Scott Rowling (Richboro, Pa.), Kyle Urso (Lombard, Ill.) and Dylan George (Bangor, Maine) were all selected to the All-Tournament Team.

MISSION, Kan. – For the second straight week the National Soccer Coaches Association honored the University of New Hampshire men’s soccer team with a No. 7 ranking in the NSCAA/adidas Northeast Regional Poll.
      The Wildcats, who remain undefeated this season with a 3-0-1 record, preserved their No. 7 standing with an impressive 1-0 overtime victory over non-conference Memphis on Sept. 5. In the match, Chris Banks (Westborough, Mass.) nailed the game-winning goal just 57 seconds into overtime to propel the Wildcats to their third victory of the season in the opening game of the 2008 Smith Barney Classic.

BURLINGTON, Vt.- A late goal by freshman Sean Coleman (Stratham, N.H.) preserved the University of New Hampshire men’s soccer team's undefeated record, as the Wildcats settle for a 1-1 draw with LaSalle and a share of the 2008 Smith Barney Classic title. The Wildcats at 3-0-1 have been a part of back-to-back tournament titles as the host team won the 19th Annual Nike Fall Classic last weekend.

        Wildcat seniors Kyle Urso (Lombard, Ill.), Scott Rowling (Richboro, Pa.) and Richie Weinrebe (East Providence, R.I.) were all selected to the All-Tournament team. New Hampshire (3-0-1) and Vermont tied for the Smith Barney Soccer Classic title each with 1-0-1 records and two goals scored and one goal allowed.
