UNH Cheerleading Places Second Overall at NCA Collegiate Cheer & Dance ChampionshipDAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The University of New Hampshire All-Girl cheer team finished with a program high score of 9.175 and a repeat 2nd place title Friday afternoon in the 2011 NCA Collegiate Cheer Championship Finals. Kennesaw State University took home the championship title with a score of 9.388. "We hit our routine and took no deductions. I'm very proud of this team and all they have accomplished. We have improved incrementally each year and have proven for the last four years that UNH Cheerleading is a viable and competitive, national-level program," said first-year head coach Jackie Briggs. Briggs is a former UNH cheerleader and has been the program's assistant since 2008.
