UNH FOOTBALL TO HOLD GRANITE STATE FOOTBALL CLINICS
DURHAM, N.H.—The University of New Hampshire football program will be holding its annual Granite State Football Clinics at area high schools in early June. The first clinic is set for June 3 at Nashua South High School, followed by one at The Hampshire Dome (June 7 – Milford, N.H.), Londonderry High School (June 8), Manchester West High School (June 9) and Dover High School (June 10).

FOOTBALL TO HOST ANNUAL BLUE/WHITE SCRIMMAGE, MAY 8TH
The University of New Hampshire football team will play its annual Spring Blue/White Scrimmage on Sat., May 8, at Cowell Stadium. The action is set to begin at approximately 12:30 p.m., and admission is free, so instead of paying for a ticket fans are encouraged to bring in food items for the football team’s “Lend a Can” food drive. Food receptacles will be located in and around Cowell Stadium.

WILDCAT FOOTBALL TO HOST ANNUAL BONE MARROW TESTING DRIVE
DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire head football coach Sean McDonnell and his Wildcat football players will take time out from spring practice to host their third annual bone marrow testing drive on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event will be held at Holloway Commons on the Durham campus and is open to anyone. The test is a simple cheek swab and no blood or needles are involved. Event registration and testing take 20 minutes or less for each person.

DEVON JACKSON NAMED CAA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
RICHMOND, Va.—Junior linebacker Devon Jackson (Williamstown, N.J.) of the University of New Hampshire football team was named the Colonial Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week for his outstanding efforts in the Wildcats’ upset victory at Ball State on Sept. 12, 23-16. The win was the fifth consecutive over an FBS team for New Hampshire, which also defeated Rutgers (2004), Northwestern (2006), Marshall (2007), and Army (2008).

WILDCAT FOOTBALL OPENS UP WITH WIN AND TRAVELS TO BALL STATE FOR FBS MATCHUP: The University of New Hampshire football team opened the 2009 campaign with a 24-14 victory, its fifth straight season-opening home win, but the coaching staff and players were not pleased with how the squad moved the ball in the final three quarters. However, the offense is expected to have some key starters returning for Ball State, such as senior wide receiver J.T. Wright, senior running back Chad Kackert, and junior left tackle Seth Price if they can put in a healthy week of practice.

University at Cowell Stadium.

The University of New Hampshire football team, ranked eighth in both major FCS polls, will kick of the 2009 campaign with a contest on Sept. 5 vs. St. Francis at Cowell Stadium. The Wildcats are coming off their fifth straight season as an NCAA tournament team and their second straight as the winner of the CAA North Division. UNH was picked to once again win the North Division of the CAA in this year's preseason poll with an experienced defense returning and an offense that is loaded with dangerous weapons.

DURHAM, N.H. – Incumbent starting quarterback R.J. Toman (Mission Viejo, Calif.) completed 7 of 9 passes for 133 yards and one touchdown – a 61-yard strike to All-America tight end Scott Sicko (Stillwater, N.Y.) – in the University of New Hampshire’s annual spring Blue/White scrimmage Saturday afternoon at Cowell Stadium. Sicko ended the game with three receptions for 90 yards.

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire Athletic Department has announced that football season ticket renewals will begin on Monday, May 11 at 10 a.m. Current season ticket holders will receive a brochure in the mail this week with information on how to renew online. The deadline to renew without a $25 late fee is June 15. Prices range from $84 for general admission tickets to $120 for reserved chairback seats. The UNH home opener will be on September 5 at 12 p.m. in Cowell Stadium.
