DURHAM, N.H. – The No. 10/8 University of New Hampshire football team concludes the preseason portion of training camp with its annual Blue-White Game on Thursday, Aug. 29, at Cowell Stadium. The intrasquad scrimmage is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. and admission is free.
Free fan parking for the Blue-White Game will be located in Boulder Field only. There is no game day parking in Lot A. Fans unable to attend Thursday's game in person can follow the interactive live blog at www.unhwildcats.com.
In the spring Blue-White Game (May 4), Team Cats blanked Team Wild, 20-0. Dalton Crossan (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) rushed for 61 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Mike Kelly (Merrimack, N.H.) notched 69 receiving yards and a TD. Defensively, Nick Cefalo (Basking Ridge, N.J.), Hayden Knudson (Alexandria, Va.) and Shane McNeely (Whitehall, Pa.) each notched an interception.
In last preseason's Blue-White Game (Aug. 21, 2012), Kelly made five receptions for 103 yards and two touchdowns in Team Cats' 24-7 victory over Team Wild. Chris McCormick (Winooski, Vt.) completed 7 of 11 passes for 108 yards and both TDs to Kelly. Knudson racked up a game-high six tackles and an interception.
The Blue-White Game symbolizes the completion of preseason camp. The Wildcats will then turn their attention to their season-opening game at Central Michigan of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) on Saturday, Sept. 7 (3 p.m., ESPN3).
