Football Announces 2014 Schedule

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire football program revealed Friday its 2014 schedule, which includes six home games at Cowell Stadium. The Wildcats, who open the season with a visit to Toledo of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) on Aug. 30, welcome Lehigh to Durham for the home opener Saturday, Sept. 13.

UNH plays its first CAA game at Richmond (Sept. 20) before resuming its Granite State rivalry with Dartmouth on Family Weekend (Sept. 27) at Cowell Stadium. The Wildcats and the Big Green have not met on the gridiron since UNH’s 44-14 home victory Sept. 26, 2009.

New Hampshire opens October with its first-ever meeting with the CAA’s newest member, Elon, which will play host to the Wildcats on Oct. 4. The Wildcats will tangle with William & Mary on Homecoming – Saturday, Oct. 11 – followed by an open weekend and then another home game versus Stony Brook on Oct. 25.

November finds the ‘Cats home for a third straight contest, a Nov. 1 encounter against Albany. The schedule continues with a conference matchup at Rhode Island (Nov. 8), followed by Senior Day against Delaware (Nov. 15) and the regular-season finale at Maine (Nov. 22) in the annual Battle for the Brice-Cowell Musket.

The 16th-ranked Wildcats (4-3, 3-1 CAA) visit William & Mary (5-3, 2-2 CAA) in a pivotal CAA battle Saturday, Nov. 2, at Zable Stadium. Opening kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Live play-by-play coverage on the Wildcat Sports Radio Network with Bob Lipman and Chris Chandler begins with the pregame show at 1 p.m.
