DURHAM, N.H.—The University of New Hampshire gymnastics program has released its upcoming schedule for the 2009-10 season. The highlight of the schedule this year is that UNH and the gymnastics team will be hosting the EAGL Championship meet in Lundholm Gymnasium on March 27. The last time the Wildcats were the host of the EAGL Championships was in 2003 and the team won the title that year. The announcement was made today by head coach Gail Goodspeed.

  Fans will have an opportunity to watch the team for the first time on Dec. 12, 2009 when the Wildcats host their own annual “Meet The Team” event.

  The regular season begins on Jan. 9 when the ‘Cats travel to battle EAGL rival Rutgers. On the very next weekend, UNH will hold its annual UNH Invitational on Jan. 17 at Lundholm Gym beginning at 1 p.m. Featured teams in the meet include Utah State, Ball State and Yale.

  Other key home meets for the Wildcats in 2010 include a Jan. 30 meet vs. Pittsburgh, a Feb. 12 meet vs. Ivy opponent Brown, a Feb. 27 matchup vs. Maryland, and a March 12 meeting with North Carolina State. 

The team will also compete against the likes of Missouri, Michigan State, George Washington and Texas Woman’s on the road this season.
