DURHAM, N.H. - Junior forward Josh Prudden (Andover, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team was named Co-Player of the Week by the Hockey East Association on Monday afternoon. Prudden posted two goals and two assists for four points on the weekend vs. Boston University and earned the award for the first time in his Wildcat career.

Prudden notched the game-winning goal vs. the Terriers with 2:59 remaining in the third period in Sunday night's 5-3 victory at Walter Brown Arena. He also opened the game scoring in the first period to give the 'Cats a 1-0 lead. Prudden recorded two first-period assists, including one on Colin Hemingway's game-winning goal, in Friday's 6-1 win at the Whittemore Center.

He has recorded 12-12-24 in 25 games this year, centering the 'Cats second line with classmates Lanny Gare and All-America candidate Colin Hemingway.

The Wildcats are currently 19-4-2 overall and 11-2-2 in Hockey East play and are four points ahead of second place Maine, but the Black Bears have one game in hand.

UNH returns to action Friday, February 1 vs. the University of Maine at Alfond Arena. Game time is 7 p.m.
