WAKEFIELD, Mass. - The Hockey East Association honored 60 men's hockey student-athletes who were named to the conference All-Academic Team on Thursday afternoon.

Three Wildcats were among the honorees: freshman defenseman Brad Flaishans (Glendale, Ariz.), freshman goaltender Kevin Regan (South Boston, Mass.) and senior defenseman Tyson Teplitsky (Saskatoon, Sask.).

Flaishans was also named to the six-player academic all-star team posting the second-highest grade point average among Hockey East blueliners, earning at 3.83 GPA in his first year at UNH.

To qualify for the team, each player must earn a grade point average of at least 3.0 in each semester of active competition.

Teplitsky was a two-time Hockey East All-Academic honoree in his four-year career in Durham. Flaishans also earned the Sid Knight Award this past season at the team awards banquet. The award is given annually to the Wildcat with the highest GPA each season.
