UNH’s Flaishans named to Academic All-District Second Team
Brad Flaishans

He was one of 10 student-athletes named to the Second Team in the University Division for District 1, which includes New England and New York.

In 38 games as a sophomore, Flaishans recorded 10 points (2g, 8a) in his second season as a Wildcat. He is a two-time winner of the Sid Knight Award which given annually to the men's hockey player with the highest GPA. He is also a two-time member of the Hockey East All-Academic Team.

Flaishans is a Presidential Scholar enrolled in the Whittemore School of Business working towards a degree in Business Administration with dual options in Finance and International business and economics.

He was the recipient of the Whittemore School of Business honors award for a grade point average of 3.7 or higher. Flaishans is a teachers assistant, as well as serving as a tutor for other UNH students. He is a member of the Atkins Investment Group, a student run investment portfolio.

Flaishans also serves as a peer advisor for Whittemore School of Business, helping two groups of freshmen make the transition to the University environment in their first year at UNH.

He was also one of five students athletes selected of the 2005 NCAA Self-Study Committee, which is charged with evaluating the UNH athletic department.
