WAKEFIELD, Mass.-- Junior forward Daniel Winnik (Winnipeg, Manitoba) of the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team was named Player of the Month for November by the Hockey East Association on Wednesday afternoon.
Winnik amassed 13 points (4g, 9a) in nine games in the month of November for an average of 1.44 points per game. He recorded five multi-point efforts, including a three-point effort on Nov. 4th at Northeastern. Winnik tallied at least one point in seven of nine games in November, which included a five-game point streak registering 10 points during that point streak.
He ranks tied for first on the team in both scoring with 18 points and assists with 12. His 14 points in league play is best among Hockey East players and his overall point total ranks tied for second among league players.
The No. 10 ranked UNH Wildcats (7-5-2, 6-3-1 HE) return to action on Friday, December 2 against the University of Vermont. Game time at Gutterson Fieldhouse in Burlington is 7 p.m.
