Men's Hockey's Stevie Moses and Damon Kipp Sign Pro Contracts
DURHAM, N.H. – Former UNH men’s hockey players Stevie Moses (Leominster, Mass.) and Damon Kipp (Salmon Arm, British Columbia) have signed professional contracts. Moses inked a deal with the American Hockey League’s Connecticut Whale, while Kipp joined the South Carolina Stingrays of the East Coast Hockey League. Both signings were announced Friday.

WAKEFIELD, Mass. –Freshmen Casey DeSmith (Rochester, N.H.) and Trevor van Riemsdyk (Middletown, N.J.) of the University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team were named to the Hockey East All-Rookie team. In addition, the Wildcats were honored as the 2012 Charlie Holt Team Sportsmanship Award, given annually to the least penalized team in Hockey East. The first round of awards were announced Wednesday, March 14 by the league office.

BOSTON – Alex Chiasson scored at 6:42 of the second overtime to lift the sixth-ranked and third-seeded Boston University to a 5-4 win over the University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team Sunday afternoon’s Hockey East quarterfinal action at Agganis Arena. With the win, the Terriers captured a 2-1 win in the series by virtue of Saturday's 4-2 win. UNH won game one 3-2 in double overtime.
