DENVER, Colo. – Fourteen members of the University of New Hampshire ski team were named to the 2014 National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team as announced by the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association earlier this week.
This honor is awarded to student-athletes who achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above and competed at the 2014 EISA Championships.
UNH's 14 representatives marks the highest total of all 15 EISA members, which includes Dartmouth College, Harvard University and the University of Vermont.
Kris Hopkins (North Andover, Mass.), Jay Ogle (Pittsfield, Mass.), Coley Oliver (Salt Lake City, Utah) and Laura Rozinowicz (Toronto, Ontario) of UNH's alpine squad made the grade and are competing at the 2014 NCAA Skiing Championships that are being hosted by the University of Utah this week (March 5-8).
Taylor, a junior co-captain, recorded a 4.0 GPA last fall and has now been named to the All-Academic Team all three years. Lindgren, another junior, was also honored for the third consecutive year.
