Durham, N.H. – Scott Rowling (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South) scored the game-winning goal as the University of New Hampshire shut out Northeastern University, 2-0, during Friday afternoon’s match at Bremner field.
    New Hampshire improves to 4-1-2 while Northeastern falls to 2-4-1.
    Rowling’s goal came in the 15th minute of the match when he kicked the 10-yard goal on a pass from Ross Fishbain (Racine, Wis./Racine Horlick).
    New Hampshire posted its fourth shut out of the season.  The Wildcats outshot the Huskies 13-5. 
    Freshman Chris Banks (Westborough, Mass./Westborough) notched his fifth goal of the season for the Wildcats when he kicked the ball from 15-yards out and into the left corner on a pass from Geoff Sanford (Johnson City, N.Y.).
    Senior Brian Levey (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) played the entire match and made two saves in net for New Hampshire.
    Mahmoud Talaat made three saves in net for the Huskies and let up one goal for the loss.  Joe Monthey made one save and allowed one goal in the second half for Northeastern.
    New Hampshire plays its next match Sunday afternoon at Hofstra at 1 p.m.
