MEN'S SOCCER EARNS A PAIR OF SHUTOUTS AGAINST SNHU AND DARTMOUTH
DURHAM, N.H.
– The University of New Hampshire men's soccer team
earned a 2-0 victory over Dartmouth College on Sunday afternoon at
Cowell Stadium in the team's fourth week of action this spring.
Jordan Thomas (Mohnton, Pa.)
got the Wildcats on the board in the fourth minute of the first
half, connecting on a pass from Dylan George (Bangor, Maine) to
find the back of the net for the early 1-0 advantage.
New Hampshire would add to its lead in the second frame when
Brad
Hilton (Merrimack, N.H.) dribbled the ball deep into
the box and slipped it to Charlie
Roche (Haverhill, Mass.) for the finish, giving the
'Cats a 2-0 lead, which they would not relinquish for the remainder
of the contest.
Colin
O'Donnell (Springfield, Mass.) played the full 90
minutes in net for UNH, earning the shutout.
In the game prior, the Wildcats played Southern New Hampshire
University to a 0-0 tie at Cowell Stadium. Chris
Devine (Hampton, N.H.) and O'Donnell split time in net
for the 'Cats.
The Wildcats round out their spring schedule with a 2-1-3 record,
outscoring their opponents nine to four in six matches.
