Cameron Lyle named 2014 Recipient of NCAA’s Award of Valor
It all started with a cheek swab. The football team was running a Be The Match station in the university’s cafeteria to support the National Marrow Donor program. A few players convinced Cameron Lyle, a sophomore track and field student-athlete at University of New Hampshire, to get his cheek swabbed. The request took just five minutes and was forgotten by day’s end.

CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Commissioner Dr. Kevin T. McGinniss announced Tuesday night that Cameron Lyle (Plaistow, N.H.) of the University of New Hampshire is one of five recipients of the 2013 ECAC Award of Valor.

Distance Running, Track & Field Summer Camps Set
DURHAM, N.H. – The UNH track and field program is now accepting registrations for its 2013 Distance Running Day Camp (July 21-24) and its Track and Field Day Camp (July 28-Aug. 1). The day camps will take place at the Reginald Atkins Track (outdoor) and Paul Sweet Oval (indoor) at the UNH Field House.

PORTLAND, Maine – Senior Cameron Lyle (Plaistow, N.H.) of the University of New Hampshire men’s track and field team earned the first-ever America East Award of Valor at the conference’s annual awards dinner Tuesday evening. His nomination will be forwarded on to the NCAA Award of Valor.

The team finished with 156 points while Vermont came in second with 136. Fordham took third with 81 while Stony Brook finished fourth with 74. Sacred Heart (71), Manhattan (66), Marist (11) and NYU (8) rounded out the rest of the field.
