Jim Boulanger enters his 28th season as coordinator of the men and women's cross country and track and field program. In his tenure at UNH the program has produced 20 individual New England champions, seven ICAAAA honorees, three All-Americans, 8 NCAA regional qualifiers.

Boulanger is currently in the midst of one of the most prolific runs of success in UNH Athletics history. Over the last 34 America East Championships in cross country, indoor and outdoor track, the Wildcat mentor has guided his men's teams to 12 first-place finishes, 12 second places and six thirds. He won America East "Coach of the Year" for outdoor track during the 1990,1996-1999 seasons along with winning the award for indoor track in 1995, 1997, 1998 and 2000. His most recent success came during the 2006 crosscountry season in which he guided the squad to an America East Championship, which was their fourth title since 2001.

A 1975 graduate of UNH, Boulanger took over the program in 1982 after serving three years as an assistant.
