KINGSTON, R.I. - The University of New Hampshire men's track team finished fifth in the eight-team University of Rhode Island Invitational held Saturday at Mackal Field House. Brown captured the meet with 174 points, followed by the host Rams (157), Boston College (73), UMass (49) and UNH (48). Holy Cross (16), Quinnipiac (9) and New Haven rounded out the field.

The Wildcats did well in relay action finishing first in the 4x400 with a time of 3-minutes, 22.83 seconds, while the 4x800 team placed second behind Brown with a time of 8:03.86. Brian Harmon took top honors in the 500-meter event, registering a time of 1:06.13.

Tyler Danin placed second in the high jump with a mark of 6-feet, 3.25-inches. Tim Constant (Alexander, N.H.) was fourth in the 200 with a 22.72-second run, Craig Lange (Manchester, N.H.) was fourth in the 400 at 50.18, while Matt Barry was fourth in the pole vault with a 14'3.25" mark.

The men's track team hosts Vermont and Boston College on Saturday (Feb. 9). The meet is slated for an 11 a.m. start.
