MEN'S INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CAPTURES THIRD PLACE AT REBOOK INDOOR GAMES

BOSTON –
The University of New Hampshire men’s indoor track and field team compiled 69.50 points en route to capturing third place at the Rebook Indoor Games at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston Massachusetts on Friday night.
    The University of Connecticut claimed the victory with 212.83 points, while Northeastern University posted a second place finish with 90.33 points.
    Junior Ben Danton (New Milford, Conn.) recorded the Wildcats' best individual finish on the evening with a second-place effort in the mile run, posting a time of four minutes and 13 seconds. In the 800 meters, junior Robert Edgerton (Cornish, N.H.) delivered a second place finish (1:52.61), which is the fastest time run in the 800 meters this season by a Wildcat runner.
    Freshman William Brehm (Pembroke, N.H.) notched fourth place in the 200-meter dash (22.57), while teammate Brendan Post (Londonderry, N.H.) captured a sixth-place finish in the 400 meters (51.21).
    UNH was led by Jeff Kaste (Atkinson, N.H.) in the field events and placed fourth in the weight throw (54-07.50). Senior Joshua Edwards (Pelham, N.H.) posted a fifth-place finish in the shot put (48-1.25). Junior Matt Begley (Brookville, Md.) earned a fourth place finish in the pole vault (14-6).
    The Wildcats return to the oval on Saturday (Feb. 3) for the University of Rhode Island Mega Meet. The meet is scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
