MEN'S TRACK CAPTURES SECOND AT URI MEGA MEET
COMPLETE RESULTS

Kingston, R.I- The University of New Hampshire men’s indoor track and field team took second place overall at the University of Rhode Island Mega Meet on Friday. In their effort UNH collected 146 points.
    The Wildcats had several first place winners. In the 800 meter run Benjamin Jenkins (Francestown, N.H.) won with a time of one minute, 55 seconds. Robert Edgerton (Cornish, N.H.) and Matthew O’Connor (Rhinebeck, N.Y.) captured the 1000 and 5000 meter runs respectively with times of 2:27.26 and 15:09.21.
    The UNH distance medley team took first (10:28.89) and the 4x400 meter relay team came in second (3:25.52).
    In the field events, Matthew Begley (Brookeville, M.D.) posted a second place finish in the pole vault (4.95m), as did Jeffrey Kaste (Atkinson, N.H.) in the weight throw (16.35m).
    UNH return to the oval next in the Valentine’s Meet. The meet will be held at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts on Friday February 9.
