MEN'S INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD STRONG AT BOSTON UNIVERSITY
COMPLETE RESULTS

BOSTON – The University of New Hampshire men’s indoor track and field team competed at the prestigious Boston University Valentines Day multi-team meet on Saturday as the Wildcats turned in another impressive performance.
    The Wildcats, who continue to prepare for the 2006-2007 America East Indoor Championships are starting to come together as evidence to this week’s success.
    Leading the way on the afternoon for UNH was junior pole-vaulter Matthew Begley (Brookville, Md.), who posted a third place with a vault of 14 feet, 7.25 inches. In the long jump, sophomore Spencer Shaw (Hampton, N.H.) put fourth a solid third place finish (22-5). In the weight throw, sophomore Jeff Kaste (Atkinson, N.H.) recorded an eighth place effort (56-8.75) to lead the Wildcats.
    The Wildcats boasted two runners in the top-10 in two distance events as junior Robert Edgerton (Cornish, N.H.) posted a seventh place in the mile run (4:09.05), while classmate Jordan Horowitz (Evanston, Ill) captured 10th overall in the 3000 meter run (8:20.88) as he beat out 84 other runners.
    The Wildcats look to improve on its fourth place finish during the 2005-06 America East Championships. UNH returns to Boston University on Friday (Feb. 16) with hopes of capturing the conference crown.
