MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES THIRD AT IC4As

BRONX, N.Y. - Senior Wesley Dinnan (Juneau, Alaska) placed eighth overall to lead the University of New Hampshire men's cross country team to a third-place finish at the 24-squad IC4A Championships on Saturday at Van Cortlandt Park.

The Wildcats finished with 147 points, trailing only Temple University (70) and America East foe, the University at Albany (131).

Dinnan completed the eight-kilometer run in 26 minutes, 6.60 seconds.

Freshman Cory Sinotte (Hooksett, N.H.) finished 15th in a time of 26:18.50, while graduate student Ben Jenkins (Francestown, N.H.) placed 21st in the 204-runner field in 26:31.00.

Sophomores Dan Decrescenzo (New Milford, Conn.) and Alex Beaulieu (Merrimack, N.H.) ran to respective 48th- and 55th-place finishes in times of 27:11.10 and 27:20.80.

The meet wrapped up the cross country season, but the Wildcats will return to action as they open up the indoor track and field season Saturday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. when they compete at the Jay Carisella Carnival at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, Mass.
