BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Junior John Prizzi (Wyckoff, N.J.) finished 62nd of 395 runners to help the University of New Hampshire men's cross country team finished 22nd overall at the Paul Short Invitational Saturday.
Prizzi, last week's America East Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week, finished the 8K course with a time of 24:59, a one-second improvement over his time at the Boston College Invitational (Sept. 28). Sophomore Zachary Chabot (Manchester, N.H.) finished second for the Wildcats and 107 overall as he crossed the finish line to a result of 25:27.
Junior tri-captain Jeff Moretti (Guilford, Conn.) finished 116th in the race with a time of 5:09 while sophomore Luke Miller (Birdsboro, Pa.) took 157th, crossing the line to a result of 25:48. Jeremy Wildgoose (Woodstock, Conn.) rounded out the top-five UNH runners as he came in 179th (25:58).
The team is back in action Saturday, Oct. 12 when they travel to Franklin Park for the New England Championships in Boston, Mass. The race is set to begin at 12 p.m.
