Senior co-captain Danielle Clark (Corinna, Maine) recorded a double double, with 20 points and a season-high 13 rebounds to lead the University of New Hampshire Wildcats (4-5) past the Northeastern Huskies (0-9), 71-62, in non-conference action at Lundholm Gymnasium.
    With the score tied at 22 with 6:32 remaining the in first half the Wildcats went on a 14-4 run to have a 36-26 lead entering the locker room. UNH opened the game with a 13-4 run to begin the second half to give the Wildcats a 19 point lead. Clark delivered 10 of her 20 points with less than six minutes to play to hold the Huskies off. She was
awarded America East Player of the Game for her efforts.
   UNH made 7-of-8 foul shots to preserve the win for the Wildcats, as four Wildcats posted double digits, including 14 by sophomore Danielle Flowers (Chalfont, Pa.). Northeastern freshman Kateema McLean lead the Huskies with 29 points.
    The Wildcats return to action on Thursday (Dec. 28) when the travel to play in Virgina Tech's "Lady Luck Classic" in Blackburg, Virgina. The Wildcats will play Detroit in the opening round before playing the winner of the Virgina Tech/Winston State game.
