AMERICA EAST ACADEMIC CUP RECORD SURPASSED IN SECOND-PLACE FINISH
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The University of New Hampshire, whose student-athletes achieved a 3.16 cumulative grade-point average for the 2009-10 academic year, surpassed the league record for highest GPA and finished second in the America East Academic Cup, the league announced Thursday afternoon.

DURHAM, N.H. – Maureen Magarity (Marist '03) was named University of New Hampshire women's basketball head coach by UNH Athletic Director Marty Scarano on Tuesday. Magarity, who becomes the youngest coach of a Division I team - men's or women's - in the country, is the sixth head coach in the 35-year history of the program and comes to UNH after a four-year stint at the United States Military Academy, where she served as the associate head coach from 2009-10.

Sunday’s matchup marks the third meeting all-time between New Hampshire and Quinnipiac. The Bobcats hold a 2-0 record in the series, with their most recent victory coming in a 68-65 decision on Nov. 22, 2004 . UNH’s first matchup against Quinnipiac came on Dec. 3, 2003, which resulted in a 82-76 Bobcats win.

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire women's basketball team wraps up a two-game homestand, taking on Harvard on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at Lundholm Tuesday’s matchup marks the 33rd meeting between New Hampshire and Harvard. The Wildcats hold a 26-7 record in the series, winning 15 of the first 16 contests against the Crimson. The Wildcats are 9-2 at home against Harvard all-time, however, their last win at Lundholm Gymnasium versus the Crimson came in a 70-58 decision on Dec. 29, 1999.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HITS THE ROAD TO TAKE ON MARYLAND (NOV. 16)
DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire women's basketball team hits the road to take on the University of Maryland (Nov. 16). Prior to Monday's matchup, the Wildcats and Terrapins haven't met since the 1982-83 season. For both squads it is their only meeting in their respective histories, with Maryland getting the best of New Hampshire during the contest, earning a 74-72 victory at the Syracuse Invitational on Jan. 15, 1983. The Terps posted a 26-5 record that season, while the Wildcats finished 23-7.
