UNH Women's Ice Hockey Falls To Dartmouth 4-0

HANOVER, NH -- The University of New Hampshire women's ice hockey team was shut out for the first time this season at the hands of Dartmouth College 4-0 Saturday afternoon at Thompson Arena. The Wildcats fall to 14-4-0 overall and 10-4-0 in conference play.

In the third period, the Big Green (10-7-0 overall, 9-4-0 ECAC) grabbed a 4-0 advantage when Kim McCullough scored her second goal of the game shorthanded.

Dartmouth extended the lead to 3-0 in the second period when Jen Wiehn scored a power play goal at 5:29. McCullough and Correne Bredin scored first period goals for Dartmouth.

UNH goaltender Jen Huggon finished the game with 25 saves, while Dartmouth goalie Amy Ferguson made 33 stops in net.

UNH returns to action on Sunday with a 1 p.m. start at Boston College.
