NEW GLOUCESTER, Maine --  A total of seven Nordic skiers on the University of New Hampshire ski team were named New England Nordic Ski Association (NENSA) Development Team nominees, the organization announced recently.

Natasha Kullas
(Timmins, Ontario) and Katie Miller (Lenox, Mass.) were named to the OJ Girls team while Harrison Harb (Contoocook, N.H.) was selected to the OJ Boys team. Marlijne Cook (Saranac Lake, N.Y.) and Heather Zimmerman (Bethel, Maine) received U-23 Women accolades and Michael Lessard (Greene, Maine) was a U-23 Men selection. Sarah Wright (Wyoming, Minn.) rounded out the UNH contingent with selection to the Collegiate Women squad.

The Development Team is named once a year in the spring, based upon regional results. The top five ranking skiers on the season-ending NENSA Points list (not the JO Selection List) -- excluding those that are named to the Elite Team, in the J1, OJ, U23 and SR age-groups -- who are also ranked in the top half of all competitors overall qualify for the Development Team.

All J2s who make the New England JO Team are also named. In addition, up to a total of 10 males and 10 females may be named at the discretion of the Athlete Development Committee. Furthermore, any college athlete who places in the 6th through 15th spots on the EISA Combined Ranking List will be nominated for the NENSA Development Team.

As members of the OJ and U23 teams, Cook, Harb, Kullas, Lessard, Miller and Zimmerman will be invited to the summer Elite Team camp that will be held June 18-23 at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, N.Y.
