'CATS BREAK DISTANCE MEDLEY RECORD AT TERRIER CLASSIC

BOSTON - Katie Litwinowich (Holden, Mass.), Taryn Kenney (N. Attleboro, Mass.), Amy DeCamp (Londonderry, N.H.) and Kristen Meisner, all members of the University of New Hampshire women's indoor track team, teamed up Saturday at the Terrier Classic to break the UNH distance medley relay record in a time of 11 minutes, 39.29 seconds.

The previous mark was set during the ECAC Championships in 2000, a time of 11:54.32. Litwinowich and DeCamp were also a part of that effort, along with Valerie Williams and Jamie Falcon.

The UNH women's track team has set two records in their past two meets. Last weekend in New York City, senior Alicia Anderson (Orleans, Mass.) set a school record in the high jump with a jump of 5-feet, seven inches, eclipsing a mark set in 1996.
