UNH Women’s Track takes second at Maine

DURHAM, N.H. — The University of New Hampshire women’s track and field team was second out of three teams on Saturday as host University of Maine took first.

The Wildcats got strong performances from Jennifer Busse (Brookline, NH) and Lauren Tebbetts (Waterville, Me.). Busse won the 3000m run with a time of 10:47.19 and Tebbetts was victorious in the pole vault by clearing 3.20 meters.

Also winning for the ’Cats were the 4 x440m relay team led by Kristen Kowalski (Essex Junction,Vt.), Chloe Harry (Tyler, Tx.), Kimberly Usseglio (Watertown, Mass.) and Danielle Waugh (Merrimack, N.H.).

Maine finished the meet with 146 points, UNH with 120 and Central Connecticut State University with 77.

The women return to action at the University of Rhode Island Mega Meet on Saturday, Feb. 7.
