WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD TAKES SECOND AT DARTMOUTH

  Junior Kiah Quarles (Derry, N.H.) and Sarah Hall (Nottingham, N.H.) each won their respective event to contribute to the University of New Hampshire’s 120 points as the team posted a second place effort at Dartmouth College on Saturday.
    Dartmouth College won the meet with 144.5 points and UNH was second (120), while the University of Vermont placed third (94.5).
    UNH posted three athletes who achieved first place honors, including freshman Latricica Rozeboom’s (South Haven, MI) win in the 3000-meter run with a time of ten minutes, 42 seconds. Quarles captured the 60-meter hurdles (9.03) and was second in the long jump (5.37 meters), while Hall sprinted to a victory in the 200 meters (26.63) to round out the top individual performances. UNH was also victorious in the 4x800 meters (9:45.35).
    Senior thrower Erin Moore (Nashua, N.H.) notched two-second place finishes on the afternoon as recorded a weight throw of 15.36 meters and a shot put mark of 12.71 meters.
    The women return home on Saturday (Jan. 20) to host Massachusetts and Holy Cross at the Paul Sweet Oval with an 11 a.m. scheduled start.
