WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CAPTURES FIRST AT TRI-MEET

DURHAM, N.H. –
The University of New Hampshire women’s indoor track and field team notched eight individual winners on the afternoon to capture a tri-meet with a total of 137 points on Saturday on UNH’s Paul Sweet Oval.
    Holy Cross followed close behind with 133 points, while the Minutewomen of UMass followed with a third place showing (69 points).
    Sophomore sprinter Sarah Hall (Nottingham, N.H.) was one of two Wildcats to receive two first place victories. Hall won the 55-meter dash (7.50 seconds) and captured a win in the 200 meters (26.90). Senior thrower Erin Moore (Nashua, N.H.) won both her events as well. Moore won the shot put (12.72 meters) and the weight throw (15.78).
    Junior Kiah Quarles (Derry, N.H.) posted a win in the 55-meter hurdles (8.46) and also placed second in the long jump (5.05). The distance events also proved to be strength in the Wildcats attack as Latricia Rozeboom (South Haven, Mich.) won the 1500 meters (5:01.89) and junior Rebecca Haley (Dover, N.H.) raced to a first place effort in the 800 meters (2:18.94). The women also posted a relay victory in the 4x800 (9:38.80).
    The Wildcats return to the oval on Saturday (Jan. 27) with a visit to Boston, Massachusetts, to compete at the Rebook Indoor Games. The meet is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
