WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD FOURTH AT HARVARD INVITATIONAL
RESULTS | PENTATHLON RESULTS

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.
– Freshman Camille Quarles (Derry, N.H.) set another school record as the University of New Hampshire women’s indoor track and field team placed fourth at the Harvard University Invitational on Jan. 26 at the Gordon Track and Tennis Center.
   
Quarles placed third in the triple jump with a distance of 11.67 meters, breaking her own school record of 11.50 meters that she set Jan. 19 in a dual meet at Paul Sweet Oval. Quarles also placed second in the long jump with a leap of 5.47 meters, with freshman Kaitlyn Dugan (Hatfield, Pa.) placing sixth with a jump of 5.32 meters.
   
Senior Kiah Quarles (Derry, N.H) just missed finishing in first place in the 60 meter hurdles, finishing in 8.87 seconds, right behind the top finisher who completed the run in 8.86 seconds.

Sophomore Kelly Thomas (Chichester, N.H.) and seniors Kathleen Hoppe (Hopkinton, Mass.) and Colleen Lally (Winthrop, Mass.) placed second, third and fourth, respectively, in the indoor pentathlon. Thomas compiled 2,861 points, Hoppe tallied 2,817 points and Lally recorded 2,698 points.

Junior Sarah Hall (Nottingham, N.H.) placed fourth in the 200 meters, finishing in a time of 26.10 seconds. Hall was sixth in the 60 meters with a time of 7.94 seconds.

In the 400 meters, freshmen Megan Donohue (Stratham, N.H.) and Kaitlin Kwieicen (Hampstead, N.H.) placed sixth and seventh, respectively, handing in times of 58.75 seconds and 58.80 seconds.
   
Senior captain Rebecca Haley (Dover, N.H.) finished seventh in the 800 meters, finishing in 2:17.48.
   
In the 3,000 meter run, freshman Erica Jesseman (Scarborough, Maine) and junior Kimberly Povec (Holland-Patent, N.Y.) placed fifth and seventh, respectively. Jesseman finished in 10:04.56, while Povec crossed the line at 10:07.23.
   
Back in the field events, senior Amy Roccio (Beverly, Mass.) was sixth in the high jump with a jump of 1.60 meters.
   
Junior Rita Ciambra (Hanover, N.H.) submitted a distance of 3.50 meters in the pole vault, good enough for a fourth-place finish.
   
In the weight throw, senior Brienna Smith (Sandown, N.H.) and sophomore Ashlee Lathrop (Sherburne, N.Y.) placed fourth and fifth, respectively. Smith scored a distance of 15.42 meters, while Lathrop was right behind with a throw of 15.41 meters.

The Wildcats return to action Saturday, Feb. 2 at 10:30 a.m. when they compete in the University of Rhode Island Mega Meet at the Mackal Field House.
