– Junior Elizabeth Morrissey (Mt. Kisco, N.Y.) grabbed a first-place finish to pace the University of New Hampshire women’s outdoor track and field team at the Dartmouth College outdoor meet April 17 at Memorial Track..
The Wildcats finished with 18 points, trailing Dartmouth (118), the University of Vermont (38) and Middlebury College (33).
Morrissey ran to victory in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing in 11 minutes, 24.74 seconds. Freshman Mackenzie Ferreira (Westerly, R.I.) placed second in a time of 11:27.34.
Freshman Kaitlin Kwiecien (Hampstead, N.H.) placed third in the 800-metters, finishing in a time of 2:18.15.
Freshman Meghan McGrath (Merrimack, N.H.) finished third in the long jump with a leap of 5.41 meters. McGrath also placed fifth in the 200-meters in a time of 26.54 seconds.

Sophomore Tracy Howell (Grafton, Mass.) also recorded a third-place finish, completing the 400-meters in 59.47 seconds.
Sophomore Carolyn Durfee (Laconia, N.H.) finished fourth in the 1,500-meters in a time of 4:46.72.
In the javelin, senior Jennifer Hitchcock (LaSalle, Ontario) came in fourth with a throw of 39.37 meters.
In the triple jump, freshman Jasmin Washington (Waltham, Mass.), Esperance NDombe (Manchester, N.H.) and Victoria Goodheart (Meredith, N.H.) placed fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively. Washington submitted a mark of 10.57 meters, while NDombe was next at 10.53 meters, followed by Goodheart at 10.43 meters.
Freshman Kaitlyn Dugan (Hatfield, Pa.) placed fifth in the 100-meters, finishing in 13.23 seconds.
Freshman Kaitlyn DiBuono (Auburn, Mass.) was also fifth, completing the 400-meter hurdles in 1:07.00
Sophomore Tayla Ryan (Norwood, Mass.) was sixth in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.64 seconds.
The Wildcats return to action Saturday, April 26 at 11 a.m. when they host the Wildcat Invitational III at Reggie F. Atkins Track.
