Wildcat Volleyball takes Out Missouri at Arkansas Invitational

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team defeated the University of Missouri, 3-0 in the opening night of the Lady Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. The game scores were 15-13, 15-12, 16-14.

With the victory, New Hampshire improves to 5-5, while Missouri drops to 4-4 with the loss.

The Cats' were led by junior outside hitter Kim Mirts-Poen (Essex, Iowa) who tallied a team-high 12 kills and also chipped in with 10 digs. Junior outside hitter Jillian Ross (Naperville, Ill.) also had a solid evening recording nine kills, a team-high five service aces and 10 digs.

Co-captains Bethany Cole (Canterbury, N.H.) and Leisha Campbell (Oswego, N.Y.) along with junior Jen Walker (Fulton, N.Y.) each tallied seven kills apiece. Junior setter Stacy Barnett (Crystal Lake, Ill.) notched a team-high 37 assists and 13 digs in another solid outing.

UNH returns to action tomorrow afternoon, as they face the University of Arkansas at 1p.m. and Louisiana Tech at 5:30 p.m. to conclude action at the Lady Razorback Invitational.
