2008 ~ Heldman split time as the starting setter
as a sophomore… She played a key in the Wildcat lineup
appearing in 20 matches and 55 games, including 11 match
starts… She ranked second among all Wildcats with a
career-high 342 assists, for an average of 6.22 per game…In
addition, she also added 115 digs, 18 kills and 12 blocks…
She reached double-digit digs in four matches, including a 3-1 win
over Seton Hall on Sept. 13 and a 3-0 win over Dartmouth College on
Sept. 16… In that same win over the Big Green, she posted a
season-high 32 assists… Heldman was named to the America
East Academic Honor Roll with a GPA of 3.0 or better.
2007 ~ Heldman competed and split time as the setter in
2007... She saw the most time of any freshman as she appeared
in 24 matches and 98 games with 147 assists... In addition, Heldman
had 11 kills, 20 aces and a block... She had a career-high 19 digs
on Oct. 8 against Maine and set a career-high with 46 assists on
Nov. 11 against Albany... In addition to her role as setter,
Heldman was also a defensive specialist and was one of four
Wildcats to have 200+ digs during the 2007 season.
Before UNH ~ Heldman played for Center Grove High School
under coach Deb McClurg...She has posted 1073 assists and 226 digs
in her career with the Trojans in 108 games...Heldman was an
All-County honoree in 2005, a All-Indy South team and a All-MIC
Conference player in 2006...She also played club volleyball for
Team Indiana and Circle City...Heldman’s club team was ranked
in the Top 10 nationally last year.
Personal ~ Born May 19, 1989 in Beech Grove,
Indiana…Daughter of Greg and Beth Heldman…Is majoring
in exercise science.
