DURHAM, N.H. – Sophomore middle blocker Cassidy Croci (Sylvania, Ohio) has been selected to the Capital One CoSIDA Division I Volleyball Academic All-District First Team, announced Thursday afternoon.
Croci earns her first-ever nomination to the All-District team. She is now is in consideration for CoSIDA Academic All-America honors. CoSIDA and the NCAA will announce the Volleyball Division I Academic All-America team on Thursday, Dec. 12.
This season, Croci has appeared in 22 matches and 51 sets to boast the third highest hitting percentage on the Wildcats with a .261 average. Furthermore, the sophomore has tallied 1.33 kills per set and ranks seventh on the team in kills with 68.
Aside from her statistics on the field, the double major in international affairs and business has boasted a 4.0 cumulative grade point average through her first year at UNH.
Accepted into the honors college at UNH, Croci has been named to the Dean's List twice and is a two-time recipient of the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics Academic Excellence Award. Croci is also the Co-President of Lord Hall and a member of the President's Council.
Croci and the Wildcats seek to defend first place in America East, hosting the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and Stony Brook University. UNH and UMBC clash Friday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. while Stony Brook and New Hampshire compete Sunday, Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. For more information about UNH volleyball, please log onto UNHWildcats.com.
