UNH’s Dunklau to Participate in the U.S. Women’s Volleyball National Team Open Tryout
DURHAM, N.H. – Junior setter Taylor Dunklau (Mukwonago, Wis.) of the University of New Hampshire volleyball team will travel to Colorado Springs, Colo., to compete in the U.S. Women's National Team Open Tryouts from Friday, Feb. 21 to Sunday, Feb. 23.
Dunklau, a Second Team All-America East honoree and the conference's Most Outstanding Player in the 2013 Championships, is coming off a stellar junior campaign for the Wildcats. The setter dished out a league-high 1,154 assists and averaged 9.54 helpers per game. Dunklau started and played in every set (33 games, 121 sets), orchestrating the UNH offense to a .200 hitting percentage, including a league-best .237 clip in America East play. The junior currently ranks third all-time in program history with 2,103 assists.
A record 248 athletes from 106 colleges will be participating in the event to decide who will make the U.S. Women's National Team and/or U.S. Collegiate National Teams program. The tryouts will be streamed live through the USA Volleyball website.
