With Four Conference Wins, Women’s Soccer Travels to Stony Brook (Oct. 11; 2 p.m.)

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's soccer team aims to continue its conference sweep at Stony Brook University on Oct. 11 (2 p.m.) at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium.
LAST TIME OUT FOR NEW HAMPSHIRE (6-5-3, 4-0-0 AE)
The Wildcats got the best of the University of Massachusetts Lowell (Oct. 8), 4-2, to remain unbeaten in conference play and claim their fourth straight victory. After being tied 2-2 at halftime UNH netted two second half goals to capture the win. Sophomore Brooke Murphy (Monson, Mass.) and Kelsey Pratt (Mendon, Vt.) led the way with two goals apiece. Senior Caroline Murray (New Canaan, Conn.) and sophomores Veronica Hardy (North Smithfield, R.I.) and Jackie Feraco (Holden, Mass.) each recorded assists. Junior Mimi Borkan (Medfield, Mass.) recorded two saves improving her record to 6-5-3 overall.
LAST TIME OUT FOR STONY BROOK (4-7-2, 1-2-0 AE)
Last time out, Stony Brook took down Albany (Oct.8), 2-0. Raven Edwards scored the first goal of the contest followed by Emily Murrer's second half goal to seal the deal. Kaitlin Loughren earned an assist. Goalkeeper Emily Doherty recorded a nine save effort for her first shutout of the season.
ALL-TIME RECORD VS. STONY BROOK
UNH holds an 9-7-2 record against Stony Brook in the all-time series. In last season's matchup, the Wildcats earned a 1-0 win (Oct. 26) just before postseason began. Murphy scored the game-winner in the 20th minute, assisted by Murray.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
The Wildcats average 1.50 goals for and 1.21 goals against. Murphy is the team-leading scorer with nine goals and three assists for 21 points. Murray paces the team in assists with seven. Senior captain Gabrielle Sloan (Stow, Mass.) and Pratt are tied for second on the team in goals with three. Borkan has started all 14 games in net, tallying four shutouts, a goals against average of 1.17 and a save percentage is 0.798.
SCOUTING THE SEAWOLVES
The Seawolves average 1.08 goals per game and allow 1.23 to opponents. Raven Edwards leads the way with six goals and two assists for a total of 14 points. Emily Murrer and Manuela Corcho both trail her with two goals apiece. Emily Doherty leads the Seawolves in net, starting 9 of 10 games played. She has a goals against average of 1.07 and a save percentage of .837.
FOUR STRAIGHT
The Wildcats currently have a four-game winning streak, all in conference play. A streak like this hasn't been seen since 2007 when the 'Cats rattled off four straight in games two through six.
FOUR CONFERNCE WINS
New Hampshire has already matched last season's conference win total with four this year. Before last year, the last time the program compiled four league wins was back in 2010 when they went 4-3-1 in conference play. The highest conference win total on record was seven in 1998 when the team put together a 7-2-0 record in the America East.
