Sophomore Brooke Murphy (Monson, Mass.) has led the team in points since the season began. Currently, the Massachusetts Native has accumulated 10 points on four goals and two assists. Second in points is senior Gabrielle Sloan (Stow, Mass.) who has totaled two goals (four points). Sloan recorded both goals back-to-back against Lafayette (Sept. 13) and at Harvard (Sept. 17). Murray, who led the team in assists last season, has three points this year on three assists. Borkan has started in all 10 games thus far with 13 goals allowed, a 1.21 goals against average and 54 saves.

TO OPEN CONFERENCE PLAY
In the last five seasons, the Wildcats are 4-0-1 to open conference play. UNH defeated the University of Vermont 1-0 last season at UVM. From 2010 to 2012, New Hampshire pulled out three consecutive victories to open league play. Lastly, in 2013 UNH recorded a draw with Binghamton at Bremner Field. The 'Cats last fell in an America East opener in 2009, when they fell 2-0 to Stony Brook University at home.
2014 CONFERENCE RECORD
New Hampshire put together a 4-2-2 America East record last season, including three straight wins to end the season, all shutouts. Wins over Vermont, Binghamton, UMass Lowell and Stony Brook helped secure a third seed for the America East Playoffs.
DUE NEXT
UNH will hit the road to take on Vermont on Thursday, Oct. 1 (3 p.m.) at Virtue Field, for the second conference game this season.
