Radack’s First Career Goal Downs Maine, 1-0, En Route to AE Semis

DURHAM, N.H. – Senior co-captain Lilly Radack (Mdadbury, N.H.) scored her first career goal in the first half to give the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team a 1-0 shutout win over the University of Maine, to head to the America East Championships semifinal round, Thursday night at Bremner Field.
Semi Clinch
The Wildcats earned a semifinal berth for the first time since the America East champion season in 2014. The 'Cats will take on defending league champion University at Albany on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 4 PM. The winner will play on the weekend of Nov. 5-6 in the championships.
The Win is…
This is the first time UNH has beaten Maine going back to 2011. The Wildcats are also 0-3 versus Maine in the postseason (0-3).

-1st Half-
In the 15th minute, freshman Liz Lane (Porter, Maine) dribbled right up the middle to put pressure on the Black Bear defense. Just inside the goalkeeper box, Lane's possession was poked away. Radack sprinted in and took a one-time shot that finished top left near side. The Wildcats outshot Maine 9-0 in the first half.
-2nd Half-
UNH went into defensive mode in the second stanza. New Hampshire made Cobotic make two big saves including a shot by Murphy on a one-on-one attempt in the final 10 minutes. Maine upped the offense in the final half of the frame including a long chip shot that Borkan sized up and punched over the crossbar to hold onto the shutout, her 23rd career shutout.
