WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Freshman Kennedi Smith (The Woodlands, Texas) recorded a match-high 16 kills and eight digs to lead the University of New Hampshire volleyball team to a 3-1 set win over the University of Hartford Friday night at the Hartford Volleyball Gym.

-1^st set-
The Wildcats took a 8-6 lead early in the opening set before rattling off a 5-1 run to take a 11-9 lead almost halfway through the set. Later in the set, UNH was down just one point before Hartford went on a 4-0 run to take a 21-16 lead to take the first set.

-2^nd set-
The Wildcats responded in set two taking 14 of the first 24 points for a 14-9 lead halfway through the set. With a close 21-17 score, and a Wildcat lead, UNH scored the next four points to knot up the sets on kills by Tanski and Olhava.

-3^rd set-
New Hampshire pulled away in the third set with a 11-3 run near the start to take a 18-7 lead. The Hawks were unable to overcome the run and fell 25-12 in the set to fall 2-1.

-4^th set-
With the score close in set four, UNH scored four straight to take a 15-13 lead mid-way through the set. The Wildcats followed that up with a 4-point run a little later for a 22-16 lead. Hartford was unable to recover and the Wildcats took the match and a 3-0 conference record.
